Sigma 28-70mm 1:2.8-4 DG fit my K2000?

Will the Sigma 28-70 1:2.8-4 DG & X1.4 AF Tele Converter products fit my K2000?

I see the mounting codes in the manual, but I'm considering purchasing these lenses used and want to make sure they will attach.

Is this lense really going to be much better at capturing my kids basketball action photos than my kit Pentax 18-55 lense?

Remember with the 1.4 tele converter you will lose around one-stop of light, which means slower shutter speed, which could mean more blurry photos.

What do you feel the kit lens does poorly for your son's games? If you need more length, you might be better with a 28-200 or something similar. It would give you faster f-stops with better shutter speeds and more range for shooting.

A lens will fit it it says it is designed to fit Pentax (and doesn't say "screwmount" or "M42" - although these do fit if you buy an adapter). It won't fit if it says it was designed to fit Canon or Nikon or some other brand. But I second jord's caveat above: it's not *that* much longer, or *that* much faster, and as I mentioned in your other thread, forget the TC - it will do nothing but make your pictures worse.
