questions re WR lenses

I have done some research on this site, and haven't found a definitive answer (maybe I wasn't looking in the right places). Which Pentax lenses are weather resistant? I understand that none of the limiteds are, but that 18-55 WR and all the DA* lenses are. Are the other * series weather resistant?

By "other * series", you mean the old M, A, or FA lenses designated as "*"? I don't think so in general (although it's possible some of them were). But I did want to point out that there is also a 50-200 WR.

Thanks Marc-- that was what I meant. And, I forgot all about the 50-200WR. So it looks like just the DA* and the WR-designated lenses are weather resistant. Correct me if I'm wrong, thanks!

You are correct, these are the only lenses that are specifically labelled as having weather resistant properties.

If you read up on the Pentax DA 17-70mm F4 there is also some very basic language that sort of alludes to some weather resistant properties (something about coatings of some sort), but it is not designated as WR or DA*, so it is not meant for the elements.

This includes the D-FA 100mm macro WR (it's brand new, so it gets overlooked)
