On a sunny day a Circular Polarizer would cut down on the glare. A Graduated Neutral Density (GND) filter may help also depending on the difference between sky and snow light intensity if you are doing any landscape pics..

Also try bumping your EV compensation up a stop or two depending on the situation to get better exposures.

I always take a Circular Polarizer. And I find I over expose between 2/3 and 1-1/2 stops on what my K10's Lightmeter says. The camera trys to meter this as a middle grey.

Are you taking shots of skiers/boarders or landscapes?

I try hard to avoid snow. Nasty stuff. Either it melts (bad) or doesn't (worse). And I live in it, expecting more tomorrow night. Bother. But if you MUST subject yourself to that crap, the above suggestions are good. Also, BRACKET BRACKET BRACKET. Take exposures off the subjects, not the snow. Spot-metering is good. If that isn't feasible, take the exposure off your hand (or carry a gray card). But BRACKET. And head inside as soon as possible. Have some Irish Coffee or whatever. Dry out.
