Sigma HSM Lenses

Good day,
Someone please enlighten me!. Is a K20 fully compatible with Sigma HSM lenses? They warn that non compatability would result in having to focus manually. Is HSM the same or similar to SMD?

Yes, the K20D is full compatible with HSM. HSM uses the exact same contacts as SDM.
