one other thing I'll add, learnt from the good folks on this forum, don't shoot the stars with your lens wide open - you'll get CA / fringing ... a few stops might mean a longer exposure, but your stars won't be all fuzzy either

You don't silkscreen after the lens is assembled; or at least one should not. You can throw a whole production batch of lenses away if something goes wrong with it. I'm quite sure that the focus rings are silkscreened in advance.
