You should have a software CD that came with your camera. It contains Pentax's photo editing software which will allow you to view and edit your raw images. I use Adobe CS3. Bridge will read my SD card from the camera or card reader. Bridge will display all formats of images. Then I use Photoshop's Camera Raw editor for initial raw editing. I have also used Picasa from Google, which is free. Editing isn't as robust as PS but it will get you started, especially if you do not have your Pentax CD.

Another solution might be to use UFRAW and the Gimp. I haven't used the former under windows but it allows you to convert RAW to e.g. jpeg or tiff including cropping and resizing.
Image adjustments include EV and white balance adjustments, saturation and luminosity, noise reduction and quite some other options.
The Gimp is a plain image editor/drawing tool; you can process the ufraw output further with it if necessary.

Both are open source and free as in free beer and free as in free speech.

Note: upload refers to taking an image on your computer and putting it on a web site somewhere for others to view. Tha is *not* possible - at least, it wouldn't make sense to try. You have to converted to JPEG to upload to the web. I'm guessing you really are referring to downloading from your camera to the computer. The process for doing that should not differ from the process for JPEG, unless for some reaosn the software you are using to downlaod JPEG just doens't recognize RAW, in which case, you should be looking into better software.

The software that comes with th camera is fine for playing around with RAW, but compared to msot other modern programs it s pretty clumsy and contrbitues to the incorrect impression that dealing with RAW is harder than JPEG. Modern programs like Lightroom, Aperture, ACDSee Pro, Bibble, Lightzone, and even Picasa (which is free) make dealing with RAW as easy as JPEG. The GIMP is free, but it isn't particularly easier to use than the Pentax software.

Raw viewer

As an additional note to what has been said, if you are only looking to view RAW images, and not necessarily edit them, there is a download available on the Pentax site that will load the RAW codec into Windows and make your RAW images "available" for viewing in standard programs such as Windows Picture Viewer. Just go to your camera's page and then click on "support" and then "software support" and then you'll see it towards the bottom of the page as an available download.
