Don't you have any freinds that live in an apartment building? See if any of them are tight with a building manager and go from there...

I think you nailed the main point without even meaning to do so:

You don't have to be on the ROOF to get the shot you want. You just have to be HIGH enough and in the right position to get the proper framing.

I suggest you begin knocking on the apartment doors of Hooters waitresses all over town--or whatever other fine dining establishment you have up there with sexy girls who bring you that lousy food, but you don't care about the food because they're sexy waitresses.

It has been 5 years since I worked in TO, but try a soup kitchen downtown called scott mission. Try offering some service in the kitchen for a day or two could get you on the roof. I thought they were building a new building/warehouse which around young and bloor you'd have some interesting skylines to the north...

And tell the Hooters girls it's a biology project.

And if your Dad or Mom is monitoring this at all, we're just joking around. Please don't worry, because this is a very respectable group of people here.

It is not the parents you need to worry about, rather your spouse... they tend to monitor you more closely... (LOVE YOU DEAR!)
