K-X Video?

Says here... in the manual if a high temperature is reached while filming a video, the video will be terminated to prevent any damage to circuitry.

Umm... so if I put maxed quality video... how long would the video run for? (without heating the heating termination thingy)

I remember I read somewhere... but I forgot... sorry to ask again.

from the manual, pg 151

You can record movies continuously up to 4 GB or 25 minutes. When the SD
Memory Card is full, recording stops and the movie is saved.

Long enough to fill my 4GB memory card It will display the temp warning though, but not enough to be so hot that it will auto shut down.

I live in a tropical country, it's usually 32C here. So I guess your camera will do better there in Ontario

Okay, now that IS strange... I recorded our band practice... only lasted around 5 mins on max setting. I did not touch the button. We jammed for 15 mins.

did it display the temperature warning icon? or just stopped recording?

if it just stopped recording, maybe your memory card isn't fast enough

agreed with RolloR, sounds like you ran out of buffer and the card could not keep up, time for an upgrade!

Good point--I don't even know.

Probably just by turning off the LCD, which reduces heat.

My card is rated class 10... it should work... I took the 8gb over the 16gb because of the speed. Could not be the memory card...
