K-X Kit Lens Pics: Examples?

Finally made the jump from P&S to DSLR and ordered a K-X after a week or so of research. It'll come in soon. But I was wondering if anyone can reinforce my decision by posting what they've shot with only the kit lens. (It will be a while before I can afford another lens). Any pics would be great. Thanks!

Not exactly "kit lens" only, but I'm sure there will be some in here regardless.

somewhere on this board is the kit lens club ... it's more about lighting, composition and having an "eye", rather than the lens alone.

the kit lens gets a lot of flack because it is inexpensive, but it's my opinion that excuse is used by a lot of folks, regardless of hobby.

bad golf game? must be because of the cheap clubs I'm using
bad day fishing? the one that got away because of my cheap pole / lure / etc

It's far, far more about the photographer than the lens.

OP, have you seen DPReview's samples of the K-x? They were all taken with either the 18-55 or 50-200 kit lenses.

Here's the Pentax Kit Lens forum:

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/45425-kit-lens-club.html

And please, do yourself a favor:

Go through EVERY page and see the wonderful work done with these supplied lenses. There are a TON of pages, but each one will convince you more and more what they're capable of doing.

It's time well spent.
