Extention Tube for Kx (and or) Macro Filter

Whatever gets you to 50mm, they are just spacers. I don't think they will make an IQ differences.

Right, but it's hard for me tell which ones are made for M42 or made for current lenses. I assume I should get the latter since I have the adapter anyway. You can't adjust the aperture on the lenses that don't have an aperture ring, right?

$8 closeup attachments generally perform like $8 closeup attachments. But the $40 Raynox 150 performs more like a $400 macro lens. See the Raynx Club thread in the lens forum for ton of samples.

I haven't used (or even seen) them but I have seen auto extension tubes (auto aperture, not auto focus) advertised for Pentax K mounts, made in Poland and branded Kubisek.

Start with a generic or name brand drink mix tube from a local store. Look for ones that have the right translucent properties, similar to most flash diffusers.

Peel off the label. It doesn't have to be perfect.

Attach to camera with futuristic ring of rubber, that grips and holds it in place above lens. Pop flash and shoot into open end of tube.
