I love this camera

It's finally spring here in the frozen tundra and I have been freezing my rear off doing some night shots. I took the plunge and went all digital about a year ago and I'm not looking back although I was a black and white guy for years. So I got a deal on a k200d with the two lens kit and fell in love with it.
A few things I've learned:
1. Pentax colors in digital are almost as awesome as film.
2. The pentax 55-200mm ED lens is fantastic within its limitations. Very sharp even at 200mm. Just took some night shots with the 18-55 and it does ok compared to most primes if you don't torture it. I usually prefer primes, but these things keep getting better.
3. The Samyang 85mm 1.4 is about as good as it gets. Playing around the other day I pur on an old tamron 2x teleconverter and it was still razor sharp at anything other than wide open. So sharp I bought a soft filter for the first time in my life so the wife won't hit me after I take her picture.
4. It's really fairly easy to convert Nikon manual focus lenses to Pentax-but then I am a machinist. I just used the mount from a set of cheap macro tubes and machined it to infinity focus etc. E-mail me and I'll send directions or maybe make one if I have the time. This is probably worth it if you have some pet lenses from Nikon. Mine is very nice 300mm.

Welcome aboard!

In The Impossible Lens Club there's discussion about lens conversions. I've converted two Canon FD lenses, one to M42 and the other one to K-mount. If you feel like it you could post some pics of your K-mount Nikon lens.

And I love my K200D too.
