Battery grip: Pentax *ist DL

Hey folks. I was thinking about getting a battery grip for my *ist DL. Some sources say they do exist, some says there ain't no grips for this camera. What about you? Do you know of any?

Pentax didn't make a grip for the DL. But may be able to find the one called Dicain.
The model was SG-1.

There is no battery grip for the DL. Look at the bottom of the cam, there's no socket there to connect it.

The Dicain grip uses the tripod socket to attach. It has a side piece that plugs into the power socket on the side of the camera.

Yes, technically it is a battery grip in that it does take batteries and does function as a vertical grip. However, it's really nothing more than a modified cable release! It can only function from it's own power source, and it's lack of e-dials make it pretty much useless in anything other than auto picture modes. Also, if you use the USB port to download your pics, you'll have to remove the grip to gain access to the port. Otherwise it's a fine accessory
