A curious question about Bodey-Lense contact dots on K-x Bodey

A curious qestion:
I have no doubts that it is ok to use Pentax-m lenses on K-x body as it is described here: http://support.pentaximaging.com/documents/908 and also every pentaxian here in the forum is doing it probably on hourly basis.

Now the question is, contact dots in K-x (or any other pentax DSLR) body mount contact themselves with appropriate contacts on the newer AF lanes, but Pentax-M lens have nothing but solid metal, can it short (electrically speaking) the bodey if it is not set on manual mode? I hope I am clear on my question. Thanks.

BTW, I am a new Pentax K-x owner with some SMC Pentax-M lenses, probably I will have more silly or wired questions in near future, please take it with real kindness.

No, it won't. It is safe to use M lenses on your K-x. See the article on lens mounts in the article section for more information
