Broken K20d

So I was shooting at a University of California San Diego event with my k20d and 540 flash when all of a sudden the entire flash AND the hotshoe from the camera come off completely....leaving a gaping hole in the top of the camera. Cords/ tape wires were broken and the camera Does not meter properly. I'm sure this has happened before but does anyone know what the repair cost/ coverage under warranty is?

Well, last year I dropped my k20 with flash attached. I broke the base of the flash ($6 part and I reparied it myself...kinda hairy). The k20 though suffered a non retracting popup flash. To get it repaired was about $270 and 5-6 weeks in the shop, I think they replaced the whole top of the camera which is about what may need to be done with your camera. Most of the repair cost was the part. I sent it to Pentax's repair facility CHRIS in Arizona.
