Live view example

This is an example of why I like live view. It would be very difficult even with the 100% viewfinder on the K-7. In fact it would have been nearly impossible for me otherwise right now as I can't currently walk. The one on the right was taken with my K10D about two years ago and the one on the left was last week with the K-7 and live view.

Good points given here with regards to the utility of LV.
My own experience with it is also positive. Although I know it's far from an optimal version of the feature, it has been very helpful in my 'point & shoot' situations where I need a high vantage point (full-stretch of my arms rather than just eye level) and I need to get the framing right.
I can just see the composition of the image as it appears on the screen and be confident with taking the shot.
