K-x tungsten WB is not a fixed WB

Was shooting some copy work under tungsten, using all manual settings and tungsten WB. Took multiple shots to stitch, but the color shifted significantly between shots. Reviewed all settings to verify, then duplicated the problem. Set WB to manual, and problem did not recur.

Conclusion: in tungsten WB mode, the K-X is still applying auto WB corrections.

Anyone able to confirm/deny?

Edited to add for anyone searching this thread: Custom Menu 2, Item 9: Auto WB in tungsten light. (found it at random a month later)

I think it's just using auto TUNGSTEN white balance.

Tungsten still includes a range of temperatures that the camera tries to interpret.

Yes, the only way to get a fixed white balance is to set one manually. Otherwise, the camera will fine-tune the preset values. On the K-7, it looks like you can tell it not to.

Manual p. 192 (K7):

AFAIK, the Kx does not have this feature.
