If the Kx is like the K20 they are very different.
the K20 has a deep flange that pinches the eyecup on very tightly while my DL just slips on and off loosely.

I had to cut mine off of the K20 with a small manicure scissors if I recall.

The eye cup on K-x is actually easy to get off -- but not slide out. Use two fingers to hold one side and pry that side out. Do the same to the other side. No need to cut with scissors. Putting it back is easy, too.
