Has anyone bumped up against the 20 lens limit for AF adjustment?

The manual for the K20D says you can dial in AF adjustment for 20 lenses. Let's say you owned 20 lenses and had adjustment figures for them all. Then you sell, say #15 lens, and replace it with a different model. I'm assuming that before you sell the #15 lens, you should mount it on your camera, go MENU -> AF ADJUSTMENT -> RESET. Does this reset the value for just one lens or for all of them? If it's just the one lens, then how would you ever reset that lens once it was gone? The manual is a little vague, but it seems that it's just resetting one value.

Imagine having 20 lenses and all of them had something wrong with the AF.... one would either have to be extremely unlucky or extremely anally retentive.

If you have more than 20 lenses, you're definitely a collector.
Possible solution to 20 lens limit:
Go for LBA management classes
Sell/give some of the stuff away
Buy a second K20D body

I own several lenses and only one of them needs auto focus correction (my DA 70). I think in a situation where I had 20 lenses that all needed correction, I would send my body back to Pentax for adjustment. Technically you really shouldn't need to correct most of your lenses if they are to spec; however, it is definitely a nice feature to have.

That is a good question though because what if you have tuned lenses that you've sold off? Feasibly, in the course of 1 or 2 years, you might possibly run into that issue.

How do you reclaim one of the twenty setting for use with another lens?

Well, I've long maintained that I'm much more a collector of hardware than a serious shooter.

What the hell kind of crazy talk is that?????

That's an interesting solution, but it would mean groups of lenses matched to a particular body, and the logistics of maintaining the separate groups. Perhaps using two pack mules when I cart all this stuff around is the answer.

Many thanks Creampuff! All my problems are solved. I love this place!!!!

I added it up, I'm five lenses away from the limit.
Not that I've bothered to dial most of them in.

Good thing I don't have that issue. I think the majority of my lenses are MF anyway.

I guess if you run out ... you can just switch to MF and use your eyes instead of relying on the camera.

Thanks. It has been a struggle to get a few images in there. Makes me respect those like yourself who have many.
