K-x firmware bug, or me?

Once in a blue moon, I'll power up the cam with an old Tak on there, and it goes right to the main menu. Doesn't go to FL selection.

I power down, up again, and get the window, defaulting to the last FL selected, as it's supposed to do.

Am I subconsciously hitting the center OK button without even realizing it because I'm shooting with these manuals 99% of the time? Or is it a glitch that can be verified by anyone else here?

It has happened to me too a very small number of times . I only own 2 manuals and I would say maybe 1x out of 20x I connect a manual lens does it skip the FL selection screen. If it does skip it and I need to change it I just go into the menu and do it.

SR is always on, so maybe I'm accidentally touching the shutter?

That's why I posted this, like maybe it's not a bug and just something I'M doing.

I'll take note now, and see what happens.

I think pressing the shutter may well be the answer.
I have often manage to bypass the focal prompt but I realised that it is when I go straight to metering (ie. shutter half press) without selecting FL.

This is actually quite a good feature, because if on same lense then don't have to update FL.

.
It makes sense, because I'm actually touching the shutter to power it on, so sometimes, I might just be touching it too hard.

It's a pretty pressure-sensitive shutter button, so if you're touching it at all, that's a pretty solid indication of where the issue lies.

In case you were still wondering it is in the menu, camera options, bottom of page 4, next to SR yes.
