How long will you wait for improved AF?

PLEASE GO TO THE POLL WITH THE SAME THREAD TITLE

AF performance seems to be one area where Pentax owners want to see improvement. How about you?

This survey is not about predicting where the market is heading and how Pentax should respond. This is about you as a photographer and where you are heading. If you care to post a reply, tell us about the pictures that you take and why you think you need or don't need improved AF.

Thanks for playing!

I don't need better af system. K-7 does it fine and with fast focusing lens like DA 70 Ltd af is more than fast enought for me.

While I wouldn't object to some improvements in AF, I don't personally see a need. It doesn't seem to matter which brand I've owned, I found shutting off AF and predictively focusing to capture a moving target works better for me. It also lets me think about composition etc, instead of just chasing my subject around using AF....

K7 with 16-50 and 60-250 is pretty fast compared to K100d, I am impressed... but i could be easy to please.
Would rather see a killer sensor in a K7 body.

Cheers, Mike.

Any reason I shouldn't merge this thread with the poll thread itself? there wouldn't normally be a need for these to be separate.

Unintentional. I had started entering the poll options and then hit back to edit the first post. The system started a new thread and then when I finished the poll it started a second thread. That's how I ended up with a poll and separate post.

Thanks for the housekeeping.
