K100D white balance problem

I'm unable to change my camera's white balance setting to anything other than AWB.
This is a new problem for me.
I'll be grateful for instructions on how to remove this glitch.
Also, does anyone know whether this is a hint of more serious upcoming problems?

Can't you access them? This is normal in Scene and AutoPict mode (page 118 of the manual

) so are you accidently in that mode?

Or something else?

I'd assume you are in Green (Auto Pict) mdoe, which is specifically designed to disallow you from changing most settings (to keep people from accidentally shooting themselve sin the foot, presumably). If you want a full auto mode that *does* allow you to override settings, that's what "P" is for. That's what most people should be using instead of Green.
