Anyone know if a Sears KS-1 is a rebranded pentax?

I found one with several lenses, none of the lenses have the A on them. I didn't know if maybe they could be Pentax M or something else that could fit on a Pentax. I don't know how to tell.

From what I could find it is k-mount by Ricoh but I would have no idea how to test if the lenses fit my k-x.

If my memory serves me right, the old Sears SLR's were relabeled Ricoh's. The lenses have a pin which can cause problems.

Can you be more specific about what you mean by cause problems? Does that mean it will not fit?

Oh, it will fit just fine--forever. (The lens won't come OFF.)

There's a simple fix for the pin BEFORE you mount it the first time. I never had a lens with one--even other brands have the dreaded "Ricoh pin"--but I think you cut it with something and do something else to keep it out of the way.

Do a quick search, because the pin is no reason to pass on these lenses.

All you have to do is remove about 5 screws and manually remove the pin. It is VERY easy and almost 0% chance of ruining anything in the lens. Two links on how to remove it.
