Nikon really does make some nice lens hoods.
Since a lot of their hoods are 52mm, it makes sense to buy the,
A Nikon hood for a 35mm lens is almost perfect for an A24/2.8 on a APS-C DSLR, for example

I have a couple Nikon hoods as well and they are very good. Nice easy designs to add and take off.

The thread title caught me as well.

I posted the model numbers and sizes of the 52mm ones here

That's a good link. I have been digging through this which includes nearly everything by Nikon.

Nikon Lenses

I couldn't resist the title because of the title of some threads and polls recently. I know this thread could have gone somewhere else but since this thread was in this forum, I just couldn't resist a little fun.

I was guessing based on specs but I could probably get away with the HN-7 or HN-6 on that A f1.2 but I can use this one on another lens I have if I get a different hood for this lens. The odds of finding the Pentax hood for this thing is low plus the probably $$$ factor would be prohibitive. I've been using this thing mainly in the late evening and at night but plan to start using it in the day in lieu of the M 50mm f1.4.

I'll only go as far as lens tissue.

That's the Optech system. I have the wrist strap as sell as the web harness. Adorama and BH carry the Optech line. There is a plethora of options. That's the wrist strap that is on it in the pics.

You can actually go quite a bit tighter on the hood for the A50/1.2 on an APS-c body without causing additional vignetting, this is my solution:

I have a nikon lens cap on my Sigma lens, as I wanted a centre-pinch one. So last weekend I had a Nikon cap, on a Sigma lens, on a Tamron TC, on a Pentax camera!
