K10D with older Pentax flashes.

Pulled a few flashes out of the museum and had a play.

Both the AF240Z and the AF 260Sa seem to working perfectly in program mode. Looks like I will be able to use them while my Sigma DG 500 Super goes back to be "re-chipped".

I assume everyone knows about testing the trigger voltage of old flash units before using them on your digital?

Hi Chris,

Don't forget that these are units we have been using on other Pentax D-SLRs, well I have at least on the DS.

Cheers.

Good point though, Pentax noobs may not know this. According to Pentax USA, Pentax DSLRs can handle upto 30volts. Any Pentax flash of the "AF" series should be OK, older 3rd party flashes vary all over the place. It never hurts to test before using.
