I have a K20 that I love and has worked flawlessly except for one thing, I bought the Sigma 70-200mm F-2.8 EX HSM and it worked great for maybe a week and then would not autofocus anymore, not even a little, it stills works perfectly with non-HSM lenses, anyone else had this problem? I did the firmware update and that didnt do any good. It's not the lens, it work's perfectly in my K-7. Pentax support gave me no ideas, just said send it in and we'll check it.

Hi, I have the Sigma EX 70-200mm, F2.8 II lens and it works perfectly on my K10d. Have you checked the switch on the left side of the lens to see if you have it in AF (autofocus) or M (manual) position? Of course if it is in the M postion the autofocus will not work. I have the slightly older one that does not have the OS in it. It is half the price.

Also, do you have the newer version of this lens? The one with the OS(optical stabilization) in it. If so there may be a conflict there.

Other than that, all I can say the lens works perfectly here on the K10D.

If the sigma doesn't have a secondary way to autofocus, then it would just not autofocus at all, I'd presume.

Um...maybe it's the lens? My Sigma stopped working after a year and a half and I had to send it in for repair. Fortunately, unlike some manufacturers who only warranty their SDM for one year (cough, cough), Sigma has a three-year warranty on this HSM lens. Are you able to test the lens on a different body?
