Stiff On-Off Switch on K7

I bought a K7 in January and started noticing about 1 month ago that the on-off switch seems stiff.
Last week I purchased a Kx for my son and the on-off switch is definitely smoother.
I need to get to a camera shop and compare with the K7 feel on a floor model.
In the mean while, does anyone else have both models to compare?

K-7 is stiffer than K100D, if that helps. Could have something to do with weather sealing?.

That's a good point Ex Finn- maybe the difference between the two has to do with the weathersealing.

Maybe your K7 is like mine... with high temperature and humidity, the switch is sticky. In normal operating conditions, the switch shouldn't be stiff. It should be nice and fluid like the Kx. I've owned both cameras and they were the same.

Mine is not "fluid", it takes a deliberate effort to turn, while feeling positive.

"So how is the tactile feedback of the switches on your Pentax gear",

This will be the next , most participated and most usefull threat coming up.

Cheers, Mike.
