I use the level, even on a tripod. I use a fairly inexpensive tripod so having the extra ability to see that I'm really level is a huge help. I shoot mostly Tv and Av. If I'm in manual, then I'll have time to check the metering anyway.

Light meter.

The level in my K-7 is tilted to the right by about 2 degrees, and as I can't seem to remember that fact while taking photos, the level isn't really useful to me.

Light meter. I have a focusing screen with grids to get my horizons level. Simple enough to straighten images during post processing.

The meter of light.

I like the level myself, but usually only turn it on when I am holding the camera down below my feet. Or some other goofy arrangement.
