Wow ! You must be taking a lot of shots in Drive-Mode....the shutter clicks pile up very quickly.

Mine is 8,400...but I take my time with most shots.

If I may ask, where can you find the shutter count?? I have a K-7, just bought it a month and a half ago, I can't seem to find where the shutter count is. Sorry about this silly question still new to the DSLR world.

Thanks and God bless

The shutter count is embedded in the Exif data of the original JPEG file.

A lot of Photo processing software just read key EXIF data - aperture, shutter, ISO, focal length, but Photome is pretty good with all the detail..and its free.

PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor

I will probably have the same amount as the OP in a year. I am past 5k clicks. Its only been months. Of course I am pretty click happy with a new camera at first... getting to know it and what results you get.

It should slow down as the months go by.
