Cosina lenses

I have 3 Cosina lenses that I'm using on my K110D. I cannot get most functions to work, (mainly I think because they are manual lenses). The
Pentax Kit lens that came on my K1000 works perfecly. I would like to be
able to retrive some of the functions availible with the kit lens to be used
with the Consina lenses. I noticed that there is pin (spring loaded) on the
base of the kit lens that is NOT on the cosina lenses. I think this may be
related to the inop portion of the Cosina lens. Anyone have any ideas as
how to retrive the missing operations with these lenses?

In the menu, under "Custom Setting", do you have "Using aperture ring" set to "2"?

Also, are you switching the AF/MF switch to "MF"

Do the Cosina lenses have an "A" on the aperture ring? (Important question)
