K7 Firmware Section Added to Review

Version 1.10 firmware

For those wanting a visual of the new additions, I put something together pretty quick about the firmware, as well as a bit about my experience in Kauai (and a big ass thank you to Pentax as well):

Thanks, your review looks good to me...I'm also looking forward to using reverse film as my default mode (even though I typically shoot raw).

Thanks Jeff!

I'm playing with reverse film mode in ISO 1250 right now, actually. I shoot raw/jpeg both at the same time usually, its great that you can still use it with Raw and Jpeg both!

Added Movie editing function on playback mode palette. You can divide a movie into multiple segments and erase unwanted *segments from the movie. How to operate the function, Click Here.

Question: will Pentax update the K-7 instruction manual to incorporate the firmware 1.1 features ?

Ok thanks on the info with the links, I'll fix those later today.

I'd like more information on the reverse film mode from Pentax, I see what it's doing but I'd like to see what they say it's doing, too.

Pentax K7 Review - AlphaMountWorld.com

So far, totally loving this film mode. Just the right contrast and punch to give a slightly classic look, but never overbearing.

It's the Goldilocks mode, not too contrasty, no too saturated, not too sharp, just right.

its insanely contrasty ya knob-end and throws a colour cast. not a default option more of a special

I'm rather annoyed that home - PENTAX U.K. Limited confused me with version 1.01 which they touted as new. I've just downgraded my firmware from 1.03 to 1.01 thanks to them.

I've since downloaded the correct version from Pentax USA and am currently charging my battery.
