Available to the OEM market

So they are going to sell it to anybody that wants it. 12 MP and 10fps. Those two specs alone would make the Nikon, Pentax. and Sony a real threat to the Canon 40D. Wonder if this has anything to do with the Pentax Aug 23 announcement.

As some over a DPR pointed out, just because the sensor is capable of 10fps, doesn't mean the camera will be. Lots of other things will effect the net FPS.

I do agree that it does look promising though.

My only concern with this new CMOS sensor would be the noise at high ISO. If they are doing on chip NR (like Canon) will we get beter noise reduction at the cost of low contrast detail and texture?

Well since the pixel count isn't much bigger than current 10mp sensor, I believe that new sensor will be as good or better in every aspect.
