Unless you're taking pictures in pitch darkness that really shouldn't be happening, but I've never heard of a defect that causes grain (noise).

Put it on full auto mode and try and take some pictures in well lit areas, if you're shooting handheld without a tripod then the darker the conditions the more grain there will be, that's absolutely and totally unavoidable, but the Kx will have the least grain of most of it's competitors. If you have a point and shoot to compare it to you'll see what I mean

Hey everyone, if you check razor's other posts they have actually put up several photos. Their camera is set to ISO 6400 for everyshot.

So, Razor, refer to Hangu in this case and read the manual. Your camera may be in Program mode, but your ISO has not been correctly set.

I even looked it up for you, Page 90.

So why did you use 3200isos and f/14? Do you know that lower is the iso setting, better is the image quality?
Here you have shooted at 1/3200sec. Where you afraid that a fighting aircraft come behind your friend and would be blurry on the pic? This is way too fast!! Now, try is the same conditions a shoot at 100 isos f/8, you will get an almost perfect picture.
And as some people said before, found a book to learn how camera work, or just use the green mode.

ISO 3200 at daylight? Seems wrong. I normally won't go beyond ISO 400 at daylight.

Shot in landscape mode, does landscape mode have some sort of crazy aperture program line?

Read the manual.
+1

Anyone who doesn't read the manuals should be punished (?)

The other thing is getting used to the ISO range in AUTO, i took few minutes of testing to get used to it.

Edit: Also, update the firmware, V 1.01 is available

Razor, there is no need to have your ISO even set to auto in daylight. set it to 200, page 90 in the manual. Leave ISO 3200 to the candles (as in, night time, candle light).

I prefer 1/160'ish, seems to handle movement a little better(safer) and it still leaves plenty of headroom for lower sensitivities.
