My Lent is over--new K-x is coming

It's been a rough few weeks since I had to turn in my K-x to my former employer and had to go without a body, but these miserable days are over. Just ordered through B&H. (And yes, I used the click-through button here.)

I was also a big-spender and went for 2-day delivery, so she should be here Wednesday.

Life is good.

Considering I bought from B&H, your comment is highly appropriate!

I just realized something:

Now that I finally bought the body, I have to buy more lenses.

I added a FA 28-80 and FA 80-320 along with a ZX-7 and a flash for $50 yesterday. Had to drive 75 miles each way to pick it up but it was a beautiful day for a drive.

Ever use a Mamiya?

I had a Mamiya Sekor 1000DTL camera in the 70s, with a 55 1.4. That lens was God, and that's the next one on my to buy list, but I want a bargain price. They're going for $100 and up.

So I figured for 10 bucks, plus shipping, I have to give this 135 a try.

Also, the Mamiyas are real scarce, all of them, compared to Taks and everything else.

Damn, now you make me want one! (Although I've used my whatever-Vivitar 135mm about zero times!)

I've used most of my lenses zero times too, but I still want to own them.

If you do an eBay search for the Mamiya 55 1.4, you'll see that they're commanding the same prices as the Taks and above, and for good reason.

I would kill for their 1.2, but now you're talking prices in the stratosphere.

Thats not a good sign! I think I might've bought a bag from them once. should've bought from tri-state 17th st, hotdigital or beach on ebay, they have all been quick for me.

Ira, you should've made me an offer on my k20! Just posted on saturday though, and the K-x is a great camera too (as you obviously already know!)

Wow--I hope you get it already. Let me know! And if you want to PM me any questions, feel free to do so.

I had ordered my prior K-x for my company via B&H, and since I haven't heard any horror stories about them here, they got my business again. Not to mention that it helps this site

I wanted a guaranteed delivery date so I paid the expedited shipping, because even though I'm now home most of the time (unemployed), and my wife is home because she works overnights, I still wanted to know the exact day.

UPS delivery can be a nightmare.

I bought my K-x from Abe's of Maine and my DA L 55-300 from Tri-State. No problems at all and ground shipping to Syracuse is overnight from NJ or Brooklyn.
