I'm a little late to the party but if WR isn't specifically a requirement then I would Go Kx hands down.

I've had both, and have the K7 because of the WR, but if it wasn't then I would sell the K7, get a Kx and a fast lens like a Sigma/Tamron 2.8 zoom or one of the DA limiteds. The price for those would be roughly the same price as a a K7 and WR kit lens.

I am way late to the party. The K-7 with the grip reminds me of a Glock 17. Perfect fit in your hand with superb handling and tactile feed-back.
I am sure you will have a blast with your new kx.

So I was so excited to get my kx today I called in sick to work today.lol She came at around 4:15 today and I can't believe how amazing this camera is. I just shot my gf's little brothers birthday today and shooting at 1600 or 3200 iso with just little to some noise I was bewildered! my k100ds I thought was the cats hat till I got the kx.

And there is no comparison to the canon 10d I had and this camera the 10d was a joke in every perspective
