Question about K-7 auto-focus issue...

Hi K-7 owners,

Under "AF.S" mode, with a auto-focus lens attached and with the lens caps on, when you press the shutter/AF button, would your K-7
1. try to autofocus across the whole focus ring (from unlimited to nearest and then go back to unlimited):

OR

2. try to auto focus but with little movement/search around the "unlimited" area:

Because I think the auto-focus on my K-7 acts kind of abnormally recently, I just want to know which one is normal.

Sorry for my poor English to describe the two situation well (so that I attached the video clip to help you understand) and thank you very much for your time and help.

Normally it tries to hunt from one end to the other each time you try focusing. However, I don't think that a test with the cap on will get you very far

Your camera is fine. It's just that when you give the AF no light at all, it doesn't work predictably.
Go out and take some pictures.
