Anyone notice the Nationwide commercial in which a de-branded K-01 is stolen and instantly replaced?

Yep, I picked that up when I saw the commercial the first time or two. Someone on the crew of the commercial likes Pentax!

Yeah, me too. Say what you will about the looks of the K-01, but it's definitely distinctive. (Personally, I love it, but that could just be the decade and a half of design experience talking.)

I think the overall visual design is nice, but the implementation needed some work. The rubber cover for the memory card area is a bit too flimsy and the trap door for the memory card is not easily opened unless you have long finger nails (I keep mine short). I think they should re-issue it with some improvements, like weather sealing!

Watching Let's Make A Deal today, behind curtain #2 was a yellow K-01 as part of a digital camera package. Didn't get the name spoken out loud, but featured a nice closeup of the camera.

The things you see when watching network daytime television... I was more excited than I should have been, as evinced by the raised eyebrows of my wife at my outburst of delight.

Speaking of commercials, I've been thinking that the woman in the first segment of the Dassault Systemes commercial is using a Pentax, perhaps a Kr. It goes by quick so I'm not sure but it looks like a storm trooper white and black body.

unfortunately the lens release button is definitely not a Pentax. Watch it again and pause it. And seeing the shape of the dome for the pop up flash, not Kr at all.

Well, it might be a white K-30 with a covered Pentax logo. The grip sure seems identical, along with the color scheme.

I recently watched a programme on BBC featuring a flying archaeologist. He was using a Pentax to take photographs out of the aircraft. I think it was a K-5, but it could have been a K-7.

i believe that is canon because pentax never make an camera with deal behind shutter. and i believe it is 1000D or 350D my friend got one same color same style.
