How about a K-3? I am loving mine.
I'm not a big fan of the K-3. A firmware update could easily fix it, but that's not going to happen. Ever. So... I can just hope that the K-3 successor will be better.

What would the firmware need to fix? I have a K-50 but have eyed the K-3 from time to time.

I'm curious about that as well. I haven't had an SLR/DSLR I liked as much as the K3 since.....well, film.

I'm also curious about the K3 firmware comment.

I'm calling a troll on this. Come on, have you really not seen any threads on this topic here or elsewhere?

That would be one of the things, yes. The higher resolution irks me a bit too, as image quality seemed to suffer a bit for that? And why do we still not have sensor shift bracketing? The K-5 II is perhaps my favorite Pentax. Some things of the K-3 I like too, but overall the K-5 is more to my liking.

Video cameras below around 7000 Euro or so don't deliver the image I want, and they suck horribly at photos. I want a device that does both, I don't want to carry two cameras. The K-5 fulfills almost all my video needs, the K-3 doesn't, and pretty much any reasonably priced video camera doesn't either (let alone stills).

Do you have any idea what sensors they put in video cameras? Even smartphones have bigger sensors!

You post look like an irrelevant rant and extreme position... and it is off topic.

I think potential buyers should recognise the K-3 is possibly still the best APS-C DSLR in the world, is available at great prices, and should not be put off by Kadajawi's personal requirements.

We do need to save up, buy him a GH-4 and tell him to leave us alone. :-)

Donations are not tax deductible, but in a fair world, should be.

There is always the possibility that a tool could do more. There is something of this in the MF/ FF/APS-C debate. The question is whether this tool includes enough of my wish list to merit the price. That has been Pentax' strong suit since the K10d put a dent in my film habit. In fact, for me, Pentax' breakthrough DSLRs (and I've owned a bunch) have been the K10d and the K3.

The K3 is the first DSLR which I have felt I needed enough to buy a second body, rather than wait for the next model and use previous as a backup as in the past.
