It was more than a month ago now but I do believe I saw someone using a Pentax at the beach I work at. I wanted to stop and ask but I was busy unfortunately. It looked more like a K-3/K-5 but I didn't get a good enough look to know for sure.

That's what I call a herd of Pentaxians. Unfortunately, there aren't much of us here in my part of the woods.
Iloilo, that's in the Philippines, right? Perhaps these people know a thing or two about Pentax! I found these online just right now.

Yes, Iloilo is in the Philippines. It's in Region VI, Western Visayas. The video you showed is in Luzon in San Juan, Metro Manila. I think that was taken sometime 2014. I wish Pentax would get a good endorser and make a video showing the strength of its weather sealing.

Still working on the next generation. My kids like to use my old Olympus, but the lighting and weather was rough today and I let my son use my K3 II for a bit. Also had a nice little discussion with someone that saw me with all my kit (packing light with only what I'll need isn't one of my strong points). His daughter was into photography and he was thinking of getting her a camera for graduation next year, so I talked about why I enjoyed Pentax.

And then there was this one guy that saw my camera and decided I was the best person to rant at about his problems with eBay and the postal service, so I just left him asap.

Wisconsin. They just started running it again this year, and this was the Mauston stop. They also have the Canadian train running too. I have more to go through that I'll be uploading into its own thread later.

Tally for both digital and film cameras in my photography classes this semester:
Digital: Canon 18, Nikon 12, Pentax 3 (K70), Sony 1. (All DSLRs except one mirrorless.)
Film: Canon 4, Nikon 3, Pentax 2 (K2 and P3), Minolta 1.

And as a bonus, an ex-student just upgraded to medium format and bought a Pentax 645.

As a K-70 user, I'm happy to see they are popular among the photography students.

As a teacher, I'm happy to see students using a pentaprism, dual wheels, weather resistance, and the ability to shoot directly to DNG.

On a good number of photography websites, the pentax user is made to feel like an american paratrooper who leapt out of his c47 on D Day over normandy, and managed to land on the local gestapo barracks parade ground..

Now, now...let's not be bitter! :-)

Pentaxians are supremely self confident and serene as they photograph through life!

I am also on a different photography forum than this one and there I seldom see any Pentax gear for sale. There is a significant number of Pentaxians on that forum but not many offers of or requests to buy Pentax gear. That indicates a very sincere fidelity of us to the brand. I also note that most Pentaxians are loyal but without being obnoxious about it.

fideltiy like the canonite who tried to have me kicked off of a website because i proved companies could make a lens in any focal length they wanted, and did not need to copy canon lenses

No Pentax cameras spotted in Spain

We recently traveled to several ports in Spain and Morocco on a cruise. We did not see another Pentax camera and very few DSLR's of any brand. Seems people only are using their phones.
