Diehard Pentax users from Singapore at our monthly group outing yesterday.
Our heartfelt appreciation to Emjay, our local Pentax agent who sponsored Pentax gear (shown in the picture) for our recent photo competition.
Group photos courtesy of our local Pentax guru, Frank.

Of course we have women Pentax users, just that they are outnumbered by the men and some didn't show up for this outing.

In Estonia see every day more and more pentaxians. Maybe it's because in Europe Estonia has really big Pentax sales :P But hey, we're working for that every day. Not only on our working days. Most of my friends are now thinking of buying a Pentax. Mostly I can put almost everyone to think of buying a Pentax and I guess almost half of our employees have Pentax. So I guess I'm really happy to have such conditions :P

I took a CE course here and there was another Pentaxian there. So we are out there. And I got asked by two of the other people "Why did you buy such a fancy camera, why not a Nikon?". Made me laugh.

Saw two yesterday at Longwood Gardens. One with a white K-x/r, and may have been visiting from another (Asian) country, and another way off that had one of the old Pentax holster bags. Also saw one Sony and.................a kid with a Holga, lol!

Here's a group hug during the K5/Kr launch in Manila last year:

(Image from Pentaxian Mark Dimo's blog) - Unfortunately I wasn't there, as I was out of town. So I missed out on the free Pentax shirt, hehe.

Though a CaNikon launch would've easily gotten 10x more people, but hey, this is a sign of progress. You know what we say, we're the lucky few who are fortunate enough and smart enough to know what we want in the face of the CaNikon bias in forums, reviews and the media.

Incidentally, I was out drinking with a few friends a couple nights ago, and when one of my lady friends (who is a non-photographer) saw my K7, her eyes lit up and she told me about how she wanted one of the pink or white Kr's.

Now, I know we all like to talk about how Pentax should focus more on their lens line-up blah blah blah instead of bringing out cutesy colored cameras, but the fact is, these multi-colored DSLRs have done quite a bit to bring the Pentax name out in the main stream. Where, if this was two years ago, my Pentax would've most likely brought out a quizzical look, and questions as to what its advantages over a CaNikon are.

Of course despite telling her how awesome Pentax is, that may not necessarily translate to a sale, but like I say, increased awareness is a start, and it's a good sign for Pentax and for us all.

Well, the best thing that I've ever heard was one Pentaxian who talked to another Pentaxian about how cheap he got his new Pentax stuff because one fool sold all of his stuff. So yes, real Pentaxians know what is good!

And here is a link to our Pentax 645D presentation video And almost everyone who were there are Pentaxians
NB! This wasn't advertized so it was only from mouth to mouth

easy, get yourself a big looking camera (K20D) with a battery grip on and put on a honking DA* zoom (50-135) and tell them that you are a talent agent taking photos of potential models.
