I'm glad it's in a store. Nobody else that I'm aware of makes a weather-sealed camera for the K-50's price and I do think a lot of people like weather sealing. Pentax also offers so many more features than a D3300 or low end Canon at that price, it's a shame nobody knows that.

My K7 and K5 have both been soaked and seen a LOT of dust in Afghanistan and the western deserts of the U.S.

Nice. Matching tools.

@normhead: And that's a frustrated canon shooter not wanting to look at your Pentax in the bottom right of your image

Went to Bristol Zoo last week. Surprisingly, not many cameras in evidence - some bridge cameras - and a lot of phones being used. There were a couple of Canon shooters, trying to look as if they knew what they were doing. But, I knew better!

Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Some Pentax (at least the red strap was there), though I couldn't see the camera. There was also an old Sigma, which was cool. A red Nikon, plenty mirrorless and Canikons.

Ok, another 2 Pentax appeared. Which one has a bright blue LED on top? And a white Pentax. Seems to be a couple.

Several people wear red Canon shirts.

I spent 5 hours on Mount Pilchuck, a very popular hiking place in summer. Everyone with a DSLR has either a Nikon or Canon camera. Not even Sony. No Pentax at all.

Ugh! Make sure you wear a pair of gloves when googling for the best deal. Then you can burn them afterwards, Pepe! :-)

My dad owns a Canon SL1 and 6D, and I decided to grab a K-50 instead. Not feeling ashamed whatsoever, especially when I have access to a huge selection of old, economic, functional lenses when he doesn't.

Saw two pentax straps during our distillery tours Monday. Saw one in the gardens on the Glen Grant distillery (didn't see the body), and the other was at Glenfiddich (looked like a k-20 or 200)

True Pentaxians, DNGR ... using whisky to self-medicate their chronic angst. :-)
