I gave my son my WG 2 GPS camera for his walks around the waterfront at night in the fog. He's almost ready for a dslr judging by some of his pictures.

I really love that second photo!

I like the second one too. Of the three it is the one the takes my attention more than the others. But in general I quite like, and often do, night photography in cities and similar places.

She is lovely! And a Pentax user, to boot. Please post more of this young beauty.
Happy to oblige. She's my granddaughter and loves her "yellow camera". I have high hopes for her.

Thanks all for the compliments! My son is pretty excited to see how well his pictures are liked. He was shooting in one of the preset modes on the camera, metadata shows ISO was 1600 in all three shots.

Today I went into Microcenter in Columbus, Ohio, actually for the first time in a few months. They have never carried Pentax until they had an ad on Black Friday. Besides the K-50 pictured they also had a couple of WG 4 adventure kits. Midwest Photo Exchange in Columbus started with the 645Z last summer, and this fall added DLSRs and lenses. I was in before Christmas and saw a K-3, K-50, and a good selection of lenses, not a big display case, but it was packed, So I should start to see more Pentax in Columbus anyway. Another camera store there has already been carrying some Pentax, Custom color K-50s and Custom color Qs, kind of an odd selection. (sorry for the crappy cell phone pic) (not a bad price for the two lens kit and extras)

I went to the Detroit auto show today were I saw two other Pentaxians, one K-3 and a second dslr of unknown model. Lots of Canons and Nikons and a few Sonys. Also saw quite a few mirrorless cameras.. Anyone else there today.

I went to the auto show today. I wasn't really looking, but I spotted a younger gentleman with Pentax K-30.

Mostly Cannikon with a couple of Fuji bridge cameras thrown in. I also saw I guy with a Sony A7 and a small prime which I couldn't identify.

We are NOT that rare but crap like what flickr is pulling right now doesnt help. Full post here:

Long story short, flickr hasn't added a Pentax camera to camera finder in over 18 months. Go figure that in a recent flickr blog post Pentax cameras disappeared off their chart into "other" land.

I joined a buy swap sell page on facebook specific to camera gear. A quick scroll through shows me that it's all pretty much canikon, with maybe 3 posts for pentax stuff - out of *at least* 100 or so of canikon offers. And the pentax stuff they did have were either relatively new AF stuff or old camera bodies. Where's everything else in between that we shoot with?! Sure makes me feel like a dinosaur. And I'm NOT that old....

In Cairns for the last week around the esplanade, the tourist hub of the city.
Commented to one fellow K3 or K5 user on his camera choice. In a european accent he agreed that it was a great camera that he had bought before leaving on holiday. Had a custom strap and a kit da zoom on board.
Today spotted a female asian tourist with a gold or bronze coloured k30 or k50. Stood out.
Everything else carried were the usual suspects.

Last night at a photo meetup I met a couple that uses Pentax. She has a K-5 and K-5 II, he has a K-5 IIS and K-3. He said he'd be at our meetup at the zoo on Saturday. Looks like we'll have a nice day too, 34 and partly cloudy

Doing my part to spread the brand. We now have six Pentax's in the family. K1000, MZ-50, K110D, 2 K100D's and a K-5! Basically grew my own camera club!
