I believe Alex (Heie) can fulfill those qualifications on a daily basis.
Funny his name comes up, I tried to put some of his advise on stabilizing the camera to use yesterday day as I got stuck with the 500mm and no tripod. Every available tree limb etc was either too tall facing wrong direction or centered in a giant pile of brush. Ugh, as I had been having some breathing problems I was just to shaky to stabilize it very well on my own that day.... And I was thinking that for sure Heie wouldn't have this problem. 😏 Ahh yes and what caused the breathing problem? Cedar? Nope.. Pollen.. Pine?....Nope... Flea spray...nope... A friends new perfume?.... Yip!

I was at a music festival this past weekend and saw a guy with a white K-50. I made a point to give him a high five, let him know he wasn't alone in the CaNikon wilderness. ;P

He and my sister are just about the only Pentaxians I've seen in person

Actually, I do the same with mine to fill in with light, particularly in faces during afternoons. I get more pleasant portraits doing it like this.

Yamba markets last weekend, no canons, no nikons, no Sony.

Just me with Pentax and a seasoned grey headed well credentialed looking guy with olympus.

I was just browsing on eBay and saw a K100D body for sale by someone in my same county and very close to where I work, so for now there is at least one other Pentax owner in my vicinity. And since it's just the body with no lens, perhaps the seller has other Pentax gear he or she is holding onto. The opening bid is cheap enough to almost be tempting except I already have a K100D and seldom use it, so I'm going to let it pass.

I don't think she was the sort of person who does that - more like the ones who pop the flash up whenever they switch the camera on, regardless of whether it might be needed!

Does anyone on the site resemble the dude in the ad? Lol, I know I don't. We should have a 'Resemble the guy in the ad contest'.
Well we've got one close to that.

Lol,decided to wear black forum T-shirt to state park, had K3 on tripod with sigma 18-250 aimed at curly tree bark and a lady lady walked by and said "Nice day, Wow nice camera and nice lens, guess that's why they pay you the big bucks!" I told her "Nah, I was just out for the fun of of it. " She asked what brand the camera and lens was. I showed her it was a newer Pentax DSLR paired with a sigma lens. She said she remembered the Pentax K1000 film cameras and proceeded to ogle the Pentax DSLR some more.

I just met my first Pentax shooter every other than me and He only shoots film on a K1000. And the only reason we met was because he had a yard sale with rangefinders there
