Start your own thread with a nice title that will attract some responses, this thread is for when we spot another Pentax user or see Pentax product somewhere. People come here for the good news and for a bit of fun.

Start it in this forum, just not in this thread.

Probably with cyber-controlled automated image selection (the "computer says No" to the image that you want because it has identified something that it thinks is "better"), 500Gb sensors, 0.1 to 1,000000mm equivalent zoom lens, light-speed focusing (and probably a whole lot more) in a package the size of a wristwatch and subcutaneously implanted in the arm of the "owner" - so those tweed-clad "owners" only need to be in roughly the right galaxy to get the shots they want.

It wasn't this guy?
Alexander Fyodorovich Kerensky was a Russian lawyer and key political figure in the Russian Revolution of 1917. After the February Revolution of 1917 he joined the newly formed Russian Provisional Government, first as Minister of Justice, then as Minister of War, and after July 1917 as the government's second Minister-Chairman. A leader of the moderate-socialist Trudoviks faction of the Socialist Revolutionary Party, he was also vice-chairman of the powerful Petrograd Soviet. On 7 November, his government was overthrown by the Lenin-led Bolsheviks in the October Revolution. He spent the remainder of his life in exile, in Paris and New York City, and worked for the Hoover Institution.

My grandmother had BBC News on this evening. Around 6:32 (UK time) they showed a closeup of someone taking a photo with a Pentax!

The bit of news was about the flying scotsman running on a newly reopened piece of track. I'm sure it can be found online but I can't use iplayer due to my region. (I know there are ways around this but it's too much hassle)

Yes - I saw that too. The Pentax logo was very prominent!

in the recently controversial Pepsi ad there are two photographers, a male and a female. Both are using a pentax 645. I couldn't tell if they were the d or z.

I was at Disneyland recently, and over the 5 days in California plus 2 days travel back and forth from Vancouver, not a single Pentax to be seen.

I myself didn't take my camera, but I was constantly looking.

I did however run across a nice fellow shooting some nighttime shots in the streets, and when I approached him, found him to be shooting with a Sony. He did however have no trouble admitting, through a short conversation, that Pentax has very high quality glass, and that it's a shame you don't see them around more.

So NOT like conversations I've had with nikon/canon users I've run into.
