While on a family trip out to Colorado and New Mexico a couple of weeks ago, my son and I were shooting our K30 and K3 at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. We were wrapping up to leave, and a fellow comes by with an identical blue K30 to what my son is shooting, albeit with a much more expensive lens. We chatted a bit, and shared our experience and opinions with lenses. Of course, we both remarked it was nice (and rare) to see another Pentaxian out and about.

I can't take a picture like that of my Super Program, because one of the anchors that attaches to the strap is broken {the strap itself had broken years ago, so I took one from a purse my wife was tossing .... but I do still use the camera on occasion.

Good luck. I look and look but never see anyone with a Pentax. Makes me feel special but lonely

I have seen one Pentax shooter in the wild a few years ago.

But I run a Meetup Group and Facebook Group that is focused on Nightscapes and occasional Landscapes. There are 2 other Pentaxians in the group. We still have not synced up but they exist!

I am not alone. So alone. So quiet.

I have been racking my brain to try to remember another Pentax in the wild and I cannot. In pictures, of course, as with the Beatles but never an in person camera that I can remember.

Was at a football tournament with my son last month, and I had my K-5IIs with me in hope of getting a few good shots of my son and his team. We were sitting down at a table to have a snack, when I got aware of a fellow sort of circling us, watching me. I recognised him from the orchestra that uses to accompany our local opera (Yes, in our small community we arrange an opera for two weeks in the autumn every year!), so I nodded discretely. Then he approached me and said: "Not often I see a pentaxian." We immediately started talking about our way into and history with Pentax, and if it wasn't for my son having a game to play, we probably would have been sitting there all day talking Pentax.

Later last month I went shopping with my kids, and outside the mall an older fellow walked towards us. I noticed he had a DSLR, but for some reason he sort of covered it with his right hand, so I couldn't see exactly what camera it was, but it looked a bit like a K-70 or a K-50. Then, just as we passed each other, I saw 'PENTAX' on his neck strap. I'm not of the most spontaneous people, so I couldn't come up with a suiting comment before he was gone, and didn't really have time to go after him. Didn't know if he was norwegian or foreign, and so which language to choose. Overloaded with so many decisions to make, I just continued walking into the shop to do my business.

Overall, June has been a good month Pentaxianspottingwise.

I have ran into an astounding 2 pentaxians in the wild! One was shooting a Kx at a balloon festival in steamboat, and another was at a national park that I now can't remember the model. I talked tot he lady shooting the Kx and we both had a "No way!" moment.

I can always be found in the Columbia River Gorge on weekends shooting with my Pentax. Sadly and fitting to this thread, this image was shot with my partner's Fuji.

Well, at least it adds one more Pentax I can say I saw in the wild, even if it is only a picture

No other Pentaxes on top of Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina last week; mainly Canons and the odd Nikon.

It's the Maria Sharipova/ Andre Agassi effect. Those who don't know much about cameras default to Canon, although on my last trip to Niagara Falls, Sony was catching up.
