Or was it a pair lined up for stereo images.

Some years ago (c1990?) I saw a guy carrying two Pentax 6x7s, taking pictures of trains. They were mounted side-by side on a plank of wood which was suspended from his neck by a strap, a bit like the tray of a street pedlar. I think they were coupled together so I'm guessing one was loaded with B&W and the other with colour reversal. Must have been back-breaking. I have carried one of them and that was bad enough.
Could it have been a stereo setup?

Or stereoscopic view... (first 3D , depth rendering).

Most likely shooting for 3d anaglyph.

Guess I'll join in on the stereoscopic suggestion, because why not. Lol

accosted, I say, accosted I was....

yesterday, while at a quilt show with the missus.. I was wearing a t-shirt with the familiar "AOCO" badge on the front, and "Asahi Pentax" on the back and an older gentleman pointed at the badge and asked if I knew what that was or meant...

so we did the secret handshake thing and he regaled me with his tales of traveling with his 6x7 on his sailboat (neither of which he has any longer) and how he sold it all off a generation too late to make serious money and how he now just uses a Nikon...

I asked if he had his Nikon with him - he didn't - or if he'd like to see a 645D - he didn't - he seemed to be content to muddle in his regret for not making serious money from the sale of the camera.... and how kids today are deluding themselves if they think that film is going to make a comeback...

I extracted myself gracefully before he had a chance to remind me to get off his lawn....

Did he at least ask about your photographic interests or how you're getting along with your Pentax gear? I suspect not.

Lesson learned: Don't wear a Pentax T-shirt to a quilting show?

They sound like eminently intelligent folk!

A quick Google informs me that "Lancaster was named one of the happiest places to live and work in the UK" which must be because of the prevalence of Pentax users!

FOUR Pentaxians together? Sounds like it would cause a rip in the space/time continuum...

Unlikely: It would probably take five. Let's just say, it's unnatural and could have consequences in our understanding of quantum photography.
