ATv in Kx?

This issue might have been discussed, but I could not find a thread.

While I love my Kx over my old K10D, I would like to have the ATv function by which I can control both aperture and shutter speed at the same time. With shutter control, the camera often uses the largest aperture first before changing the ISO. The largest aperture may not always be desirable.

Is there a way to get around the problem and prioritize aperture control over ISO control in Kx? Thanks a lot.

M-mode + manual ISO?

I guess it would be nice if the K-x had the TAV mode, but I guess Pentax had to leave some features out to keep the price down, right?

thanks for the note

I understand the reason. Just curious if anyone has found a way to get around this. Digital cameras allow so many ways to customize...

You were told the only work-around. Manual mode. Learn it, use it, love it.
