Black specs on images

I have noticed a black spec on my images a few weeks ago, and after cleaning the lens and the filter vigorously, I cannot get rid of it. It's always been in the same place on the image, but not every picture has it. Now this weekend, I noticed another! I have tried the sensor cleaning feature on the camera too, but still no luck. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I have a K100D Super. Thanks.

Dust on your sensor. You could try a rocket blower to see if that cleans it off, but you may have to do a wet cleaning if the rocket blower doesn't take the dirt off. You will need to go into your menu, and there will be a sensor cleaning option that will move the mirror out of the way so you can clean it manually.

You need to clean the sensor. There's an option on your menu to clean sensor which flip your mirror up so you can access your sensor for cleaning. Make sure you have a full charge of battery. I just did the wet cleaning on my sensor just now -- took 30 seconds.

Dust or something similar has made it's way onto your sensor...follow the advice from earlier posters or do a quick search for the thousand or so other posts with the same problems.

Here is the advice I would give everyone asking about black specs on photos.
