Is opposite for me, but after a bit more research it seems the issue is actually a non-issue, so whatever.

My concern was that a red spot in a DNG didn't go away after I converted it to JPG (whereas the accompanying JPEG was fine) ---> but I wasn't using Photoshop, just the included software (PhotoLab). Seemed like I wouldn't be able to shoot/use RAW.
When I switched to PEF, however, that no longer seemed to be an issue.
