K20D and date stamps on pictures

Hello,

Can I format the K20D so that each picture has the date and time in the corner?

Not that I know of, but the camera does record the date and time within the file itself (EXIF information), and most photo software is capable of then placing that info on your prints, without the need to mess up the image files themselves.

Every camera I have had that did this, I turned it off immediately. As Marc says, no sense to mess up the photos when there is a date on the digital file. You can see it with windows. Just right click on the photo and go to properties and all the info is right there.

As Marc says, there is no reason to mess with the image. In the film days, the Data Back was used to put the date on the pictures. Now you have the info in the Exif data even with the exact time when the picture was taken. Make sure your camera has the correct time and date, otherwise it will not be accurate.

This makes sense only if you want to print the images.
Free Faststone Imageviewer can add the date to the image in their powerful Batch conversion settings.
It takes the date from the EXIF data and is adding it to the image. You can set the font, background etc.
Many other programs will have similar features.
