So there are maybe two things that slow you down, either the processing to 6MP or the writingspeed of your card and the filesize.

I did a test with 14.5MP 2 star quality and got 275 frames in a minute, but there is a full buffer at some point and when the buffer is full the K-7 can ahndle about 4.4-4.5 fps.

With the one star quality the buffer never fills up. The file size is on average 1.69 mb so the total amount of data to write is well under 9mb/s wich is no problem with a fast card.

I did a RESET and I was able to take around 70 pictures at 14M High Speed Continuous Shooting, there was something in the settings, I need to find out now, thanks
Note that reducing pixel count increases processing due to the interpolation and resizing algorithm 14'MP jpeg compression when set to high is very low loss and only compression from 12 bit color to 8 bit

If you truly want continuous gps at 10 MP get a K10

I just repeat it. With this setting you can make 14.5 megapixel jpeg's without filling your buffer. So there is no ending to it, except when your card is full. This with a fast card, I used a 32 Gb class 10 card and made a sequel of just over 1500 frames.
RonHendriks1966,
My apology. I did not read properly your settings: 1 star. You are correct that 14Mp 1 star will require a transfer rate well within the specs of a class 10 card.
